After I lost 120 pounds with Weight Watchers in 2007, I realized that I could help other people put down the forks and pick up their lives!
In Palm Beach County (FL), I began coaching thousands of people to lose tens of thousands of pounds in the four years that I was in that role.
Pictured are my "fat pants" - pants that used to be tight but are now so big I can (still) fit into one leg with room to spare!
Indoor cycling was a major help to my weight loss journey. I found role models and lifestyle examples in various instructors and can recall thinking throughout many classes, "I wonder if I would ever be fit enough to do that."
In 2017, a CycleBar franchise opened near my house and elevated my indoor cycling not to the next level - to the ultimate level. At the insistence of one of my role models/instructors, I auditioned to be an instructor.
In January of 2020, I became an indoor cycling instructor and my fitness coaching journey began.
To date, I've taught more than 800 classes.
How you live your life determines how you will continue to live your life. Your daily practices, your beliefs about others, about yourself, about what's possible for you - it all contributes to the big picture you refer to as your life.
I used to believe that life just happened to us and that we were essentially sentenced to exist however we had to exist. This is untrue.
Your life does not happen to you - it responds to you. What you think about, you bring about. A negative lifestyle will deliver negativity. A positive lifestyle will deliver positivity. An ultimate lifestyle will deliver an existence far greater than you have ever imagined.
